Transportation Planner

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of experience, education, and expertise in logistics and transportation planning, and have a strong interest in problem-solving and customer service. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute efficient transportation plans that meet customer requirements.
2. Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
3. Monitor and adjust shipping schedules as needed.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to transportation plans.
5. Research alternative routes and modes of transportation to reduce costs and transit times.
6. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations.
8. Monitor shipping costs to identify areas of improvement.
9. Prepare and provide detailed reports to management.
10. Monitor inventory levels in order to maximize efficiency.
