Job Description

At GEODIS, we are looking for a talented and experienced Procurement Specialist who is excited to join our team. The ideal candidate has exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to help us identify and secure the best possible pricing and terms for our organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about finding creative solutions and providing superior customer service.The Procurement Specialist at GEODIS is responsible for working collaboratively with internal customers to identify, evaluate, negotiate and purchase products and services that meet the needs of the organization. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of procurement processes and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; at least three years of experience in a procurement role; strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; excellent organizational and analytical skills; and a solid understanding of procurement regulations and best practices. The candidate should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with internal customers to identify, evaluate, negotiate and purchase products and services that meet the needs of the organization.
  2. Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and secure the best possible pricing and terms.
  3. Develop creative solutions for providing superior customer service.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
  5. Prepare and submit regular reports to management.
  6. Monitor vendor performance and develop relationships with vendors.
  7. Manage the purchase order process from initial selection to final delivery.
  8. Prepare and negotiate contracts.
  9. Ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
