At GEODIS, we are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Packaging Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will be a problem-solver with a passion for pushing the boundaries of packaging technology and a drive to provide exceptional customer satisfaction. With a keen eye for detail, strong technical expertise, and a creative, solutions-oriented mindset, the Packaging Engineer will be responsible for creating innovative and safe packaging solutions for our customers’ goods.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, or a related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate should have a solid understanding of packaging materials, machinery, and regulations. A strong background in CAD software and proficiency in MS Office applications are also a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions for customer goods that meet safety and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers to ensure delivery of quality products.
- Utilize CAD software to design and create packaging components.
- Perform regular inspections of packaging materials and machinery to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Analyze customer feedback and use it to refine and improve packaging solutions.
- Lead teams in the testing and implementation of new packaging technologies.
- Troubleshoot and troubleshoot packaging issues.
- Make recommendations to improve packaging designs and processes.
- Prepare reports and presentations to document packaging processes and results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements.
