Job Description

At GEODIS, we are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Packaging Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will be a problem-solver with a passion for pushing the boundaries of packaging technology and a drive to provide exceptional customer satisfaction. With a keen eye for detail, strong technical expertise, and a creative, solutions-oriented mindset, the Packaging Engineer will be responsible for creating innovative and safe packaging solutions for our customers’ goods.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, or a related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate should have a solid understanding of packaging materials, machinery, and regulations. A strong background in CAD software and proficiency in MS Office applications are also a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions for customer goods that meet safety and quality standards.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers to ensure delivery of quality products.
  3. Utilize CAD software to design and create packaging components.
  4. Perform regular inspections of packaging materials and machinery to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  5. Analyze customer feedback and use it to refine and improve packaging solutions.
  6. Lead teams in the testing and implementation of new packaging technologies.
  7. Troubleshoot and troubleshoot packaging issues.
  8. Make recommendations to improve packaging designs and processes.
  9. Prepare reports and presentations to document packaging processes and results.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements.
