Job Description

At GEODIS, we are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer service focused. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the shipment of goods and cargo from origin to destination. The ideal candidate should have a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. To be successful in this role, you must have at least two years of experience in managing international freight forwarding, a strong knowledge of world geography, and an understanding of customs regulations. Additionally, you should have experience in customer service, problem solving, and be highly proficient in utilizing freight forwarding software. Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the shipment of goods and cargo from origin to destination.
  2. Manage international freight forwarding operations.
  3. Maintain a strong knowledge of world geography and customs regulations.
  4. Provide excellent customer service and problem-solve customer issues.
  5. Utilize freight forwarding software and stay up-to-date on any changes.
  6. Maintain a professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
  7. Work independently and self-motivate to exceed customer expectations.
  8. Monitor shipments and update customers on delivery schedules.
  9. Negotiate rates with vendors and ensure that shipments are delivered on time.
  10. Ensure that all shipments are compliant with the relevant customs regulations.
