Freight Forwarder

GEODIS is looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our team and help our customers move their goods quickly, safely, and cost-effectively across the country and around the world. We need a professional with the right qualifications and experience to help us get the job done.The ideal candidate for this position will have a good understanding of the freight forwarding industry and the logistics that are involved in the movement of goods. They should also be detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be polite, organized, and able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a freight forwarding role, knowledge of customs regulations, and a good understanding of international trade. Responsibilities:

1. Manage freight forwarding operations from start to finish.
2. Negotiate and arrange services with carriers, agents, and customers.
3. Monitor cargo movement and ensure on-time delivery.
4. Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other industry regulations.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, carriers, and agents.
6. Monitor costs and keep budgets within predetermined limits.
7. Identify and resolve any issues that may affect the delivery of goods.
8. Prepare documentation for customs clearance and other import/export requirements.
9. Prepare and submit reports to management.
10. Provide impeccable customer service.
