Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Distribution Center Manager to join the GEODIS team! Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, and warehouse operations. You will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of a distribution center, including all aspects of inventory, staff, customer service, and financial performance. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a proven track record of successfully managing a busy and complex warehouse environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including inventory management, staff management, customer service, and financial performance.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and profitability of the distribution center.
  3. Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
  4. Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  5. Train, motivate, and develop staff to achieve maximum performance.
  6. Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  7. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors.
  8. Prepare and review operational reports and budgets.
  9. Research and implement new technologies to improve the efficiency of the distribution center.
