We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Customs Broker to join the team at GEODIS. In this role, you will use your extensive knowledge of the customs process to help us ensure the timely movement of goods in and out of the country. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of the regulations and requirements governing international trade, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between GEODIS and the relevant customs authorities, providing detailed advice on customs and trade regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable customs regulations, including the filing of accurate and timely customs declarations and other required documentation.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely clearance of goods through customs, and provide guidance to customers on the best methods and procedures for importing and exporting goods.
- Analyze and evaluate customs processes and procedures to identify areas of improvement.
- Negotiate and resolve any issues or disputes with customs authorities.
- Remain current on changes in customs regulations and trends, and advise customers accordingly.
- Manage relationships with forwarding agents, brokers, and other third parties.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on customs activities and procedures.
