1. Coordinate and manage the movement of goods through customs, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all relevant regulations.
2. Maintain a thorough understanding of customs procedures and regulations, and stay updated on any changes or updates.
3. Communicate effectively with clients, customs officials, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance.
4. Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for customs clearance, including import and export declarations, licenses, and permits.
5. Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are cleared and delivered on time, and escalate any issues or delays to the appropriate parties.
6. Collaborate with other departments, such as transportation and warehousing, to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve customs processes and procedures.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customs-related activities and documentation.
9. Handle any issues or inquiries related to customs clearance, and provide timely and effective solutions.
10. Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as local and international laws and regulations.
11. Train and mentor junior team members on customs procedures and regulations.
12. Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement new processes or strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
13. Collaborate with clients to ensure their customs needs are met and provide exceptional customer service.
14. Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by management.
