Wound Care Coordinator - RN

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Wound Care Coordinator - RN to join our team at Genesis HealthCare. This dedicated professional will be responsible for providing high-quality wound care to our patients and creating an environment of healing and comfort. To be successful in this role, you must have a current RN license, proven experience in wound care, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities:

1. Administer comprehensive wound care services to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
2. Evaluate patient wounds and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the patient’s physician and other members of the healthcare team.
3. Monitor the healing of wounds by regularly assessing patient progress and revising treatment plans as needed.
4. Educate patients and families about wound care management and prevention.
5. Document all wound care services in the patient’s medical record.
6. Maintain communication with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality of care.
7. Ensure that all regulatory standards related to wound care are met.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care.
9. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in wound care.
10. Ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for patients and families.
