Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Clinical Admissions Director to join our team at Genesis HealthCare. As the leader of our admissions department, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our facility by strategically managing the admissions process.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans to effectively manage the admissions process and meet facility goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee the admissions team and provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and timely admissions.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, and other referral sources to increase admissions and maintain a steady flow of patients and residents.
  4. Evaluate potential admissions and make recommendations based on clinical and financial considerations.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure proper placement and care planning for patients and residents.
  6. Monitor and analyze admissions data to identify trends and make adjustments to strategies as needed.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies related to admissions and patient care.
  8. Participate in marketing and outreach efforts to promote the facility and increase referrals.
  9. Train and educate staff on best practices for admissions and customer service.
  10. Act as a liaison between the admissions department and other departments within the facility to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  11. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to admissions, including insurance and financial information.
  12. Continuously assess and improve the admissions process to enhance the overall patient and resident experience.
  13. Represent the facility at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to promote the facility and build relationships.
  14. Stay current with industry trends and developments to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  15. Uphold the company's mission, vision, and values in all interactions and decisions.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Admissions Management, Preferably In A Long-Term Care Or Skilled Nursing Facility.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations, Including Medicare And Medicaid Guidelines.

  • Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Strategic Admissions Plans.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Referral Sources And Potential Patients And Their Families.
