
Staff Development Coordinator, RN

- Develop and implement educational programs for staff in accordance with Genesis HealthCare's standards and policies.
- Ensure that all staff are up to date on required training and certifications.
- Create and maintain a training schedule for all staff members.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop specialized programs for their respective teams.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage and educate staff, including hands-on training, lectures, and online resources.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to meet the needs of the staff and organization.
- Maintain accurate records of staff training and certifications.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in healthcare education.
- Serve as a resource for staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Communicate regularly with staff and management to promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Collaborate with human resources to onboard and train new hires.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to staff training and education.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback on staff members' educational needs.
- Coordinate and facilitate staff development workshops and seminars.
- Act as a liaison between Genesis HealthCare and external educational institutions and organizations.
- Develop and manage a budget for staff development activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive information.
- Attend meetings and conferences related to staff development and share learnings with the team.
- Mentor and coach staff on professional development opportunities.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the staff development program to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Valid Rn License: A Staff Development Coordinator At Genesis Healthcare Must Hold A Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where The Facility Is Located. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Educational And Clinical Requirements To Practice As A Nurse.
Strong Clinical Background: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Clinical Background And Experience In Long-Term Care, Sub-Acute Care, Or Rehabilitation. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Assess The Learning Needs Of Staff And Provide Relevant Training And Education Programs.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Staff Development Coordinator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Delivering Presentations And Training Sessions To A Diverse Group Of Staff Members. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential To Effectively Convey Information And Engage Participants.
Experience In Staff Development: Candidates Should Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Training Programs For Healthcare Professionals. This Includes Knowledge Of Adult Learning Principles, Curriculum Development, And Evaluation Methods To Ensure That The Training Is Effective.
Leadership Abilities: The Staff Development Coordinator Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Educators And Trainers.
