Job Description

Are you a friendly and organized individual with a passion for customer service? Genesis HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated Receptionist to join our team and be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for all who enter our facility. We are looking for someone who can multitask, handle a fast-paced work environment, and has excellent communication skills.   1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
  3. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar for healthcare providers.
  4. Register new patients and update patient information in the system.
  5. Collect and process payments for services rendered.
  6. Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  8. Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information about the facility and services offered.
  9. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient flow of patient appointments.
  10. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  11. Attend to urgent or emergency situations and escalate them to the appropriate personnel.
  12. Collaborate with the administrative team to improve customer service processes and procedures.
  13. Keep track of office supplies and order new supplies as needed.
  14. Maintain and update patient records and ensure accuracy of data.
  15. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  16. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  17. Handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  18. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  19. Proactively identify and address any issues or concerns raised by patients or visitors.
  20. Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
