- Provide compassionate care to residents by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including regular housekeeping duties.
- Assist with feeding and medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for residents and their families.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
- Participate in and contribute to resident care planning and team meetings.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrate professionalism and sensitivity in all interactions with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the facility.
- Meet and maintain all required qualifications for the position, including but not limited to background checks and health screenings.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Most Employers, Including Genesis Healthcare, Require A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent For Entry-Level Positions. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Communication Skills.
Basic Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Non-Certified Nurse Aide Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Common Medical Procedures. This Will Help Them In Their Daily Tasks And Communication With Other Healthcare Professionals.
Physical Ability: The Job Of A Non-Certified Nurse Aide Requires Physical Stamina And Strength As They May Need To Lift And Move Patients, Assist In Bathing And Dressing, And Perform Other Physically Demanding Tasks. Candidates Should Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Non-Certified Nurse Aides Work Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
