Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Memory Care Program Director to join our team.   1. Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive memory care program that aligns with the organization's mission and values.
  2. Conduct assessments and develop personalized care plans for residents with memory impairments, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  3. Train and educate staff on best practices for memory care, including communication techniques, behavior management, and activities.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the memory care program and make necessary adjustments to ensure the highest quality of care.
  5. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to memory care, as well as the organization's policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and education on memory care and help them navigate the challenges of caring for a loved one with memory impairment.
  7. Stay current on research, trends, and advancements in memory care and incorporate them into the program as appropriate.
  8. Manage the budget for the memory care program and make recommendations for necessary resources and supplies.
  9. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for residents, families, and staff, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  10. Act as a liaison between external healthcare providers and the organization, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive care for residents with memory impairments.
  11. Serve as a role model and mentor for staff, promoting a culture of compassion, empathy, and professionalism in memory care.
  12. Participate in organizational meetings and contribute to strategic planning for the memory care program and the organization as a whole.
  13. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident care and program activities.
  14. Handle any concerns or issues related to the memory care program with sensitivity and professionalism, seeking guidance from appropriate resources as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Memory Care Program Or Related Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Alzheimer's And Other Forms Of Dementia, As Well As Best Practices For Managing And Caring For Individuals With Memory Loss.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Families.

  • Experience In Budget Management And Program Development, Including Implementing And Evaluating Person-Centered Care Plans And Therapeutic Activities For Memory Care Residents.
