Job Description

If so, Genesis HealthCare is looking for a Life Enrichment Director to join our team. As the Life Enrichment Director, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents by developing and implementing engaging activities and programs. We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills and a genuine compassion for seniors.   1. Develop and implement engaging activities and programs for older adults residing in our facility.
  2. Create a positive and welcoming environment for residents to participate in activities and events.
  3. Plan and coordinate events and outings that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents.
  4. Collaborate with other staff members and departments to ensure the needs and preferences of residents are met.
  5. Maintain a budget for the Life Enrichment department and make responsible purchasing decisions.
  6. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers to assist with activities and programs.
  7. Communicate effectively with residents and their families to gather feedback and suggestions for future activities.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current trends and research in the field of senior living and incorporate new ideas into programming.
  9. Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents during activities and events.
  10. Foster a sense of community and promote socialization among residents through various activities and programs.
  11. Keep detailed records and reports of activities and attendance for evaluation and improvement purposes.
  12. Participate in facility meetings and collaborate with other departments to create a holistic approach to resident care.
  13. Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding activities and programming for senior living facilities.
  14. Continuously assess the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments as needed to meet the evolving needs of our residents.
  15. Act as a positive role model and advocate for the well-being of older adults in our facility.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Or Healthcare Administration.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Long-Term Care Or Senior Living Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead A Team And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Aging And Senior Care, Including Understanding Of Physical, Emotional, And Social Needs Of Older Adults.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Residents, Families, And Staff In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.
