  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed and that residents receive high-quality care.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the facility to ensure its success and growth.
  3. Hire, train, and supervise staff, including nurses, caregivers, and administrative personnel.
  4. Monitor and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations related to the operation of a nursing home.
  5. Manage the budget and financial resources of the facility, ensuring efficient use of funds and maintaining profitability.
  6. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for each resident and ensure they are being properly implemented.
  7. Communicate regularly with residents and their families to address any concerns or needs and maintain positive relationships.
  8. Conduct regular meetings and trainings for staff to promote continuous education and improvement.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to implement innovative and effective strategies for resident care.
  10. Handle any issues or conflicts that may arise in a professional and timely manner.
  11. Represent the facility in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and community organizations.
  12. Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are maintained and in good working condition.
  13. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the facility and attract new residents.
  14. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to the facility and its residents.
  15. Adhere to ethical and legal standards and ensure that all staff members do the same.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field: A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator At Genesis Healthcare Must Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Nursing Home Administrator. This License Must Be In Good Standing And Meet All State Requirements.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Management: Genesis Healthcare Requires Candidates To Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Management, Preferably In A Long-Term Care Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Regulations Governing Long-Term Care Facilities. This Includes Knowledge Of Medicare And Medicaid Regulations, Osha Requirements, And State-Specific Regulations.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: A Successful Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Staff, Residents, And Families. This Includes The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Diverse Team, Handle Conflict Resolution, And Maintain Positive Relationships With Stakeholders.
