  1. Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and protocols for the facility in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular infection control audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to educate and train them on infection control measures and best practices.
  4. Monitor and track infections within the facility, and report findings to appropriate parties.
  5. Investigate and respond to outbreaks of infectious diseases, taking necessary steps to contain and prevent further spread.
  6. Stay updated on current infection control practices and guidelines, and make recommendations for updates to facility policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to infection control activities.
  8. Serve as a resource and point of contact for infection control inquiries and concerns from staff, patients, and families.
  9. Work closely with the facility’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) team to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  10. Collaborate with local health departments and other community organizations to share information and resources related to infection control.
  11. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current in infection control practices and regulations.
  12. Adhere to and promote ethical and professional standards of practice.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to the facility’s mission, vision, and values.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of all patient and facility information.
  15. Participate in meetings and committees related to infection control and patient safety.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Lpn Licensure In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, With Preferred Experience In Infection Control Or Prevention.

  • Knowledge Of Cdc Guidelines, Infection Control Best Practices, And Regulatory Requirements.

  • Ability To Effectively Educate And Communicate With Staff, Patients, And Families Regarding Infection Prevention And Control Measures.

  • Strong Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, And Organizational Skills To Identify And Address Potential Infection Risks.
