  1. Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Monitor and assess infection control practices and protocols within the healthcare facility.
  3. Conduct regular infection control audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare staff to educate and train on infection control practices and procedures.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current infection control guidelines and communicate updates to healthcare staff.
  6. Investigate and report any suspected or confirmed cases of infectious diseases within the facility.
  7. Coordinate with local health departments and other agencies to prevent and control outbreaks of infectious diseases.
  8. Serve as a resource for healthcare staff regarding infection control protocols and practices.
  9. Maintain accurate and timely records of infection control data.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of infection control related quality improvement initiatives.
  11. Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate potential infection control risks.
  12. Collaborate with environmental services to ensure proper cleaning and disinfection procedures are being followed.
  13. Assist with the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans related to infectious diseases.
  14. Communicate infection control related information to patients, visitors, and other stakeholders.
  15. Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy policies when handling infection control data and information.
  16. Serve as a liaison between the healthcare facility and regulatory agencies regarding infection control matters.
  17. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of infection control regulations and guidelines.
  18. Participate in infection control related committees and meetings.
  19. Continuously evaluate and improve infection control processes and procedures.
  20. Act as a role model for infection control practices and promote a culture of safety and prevention within the healthcare facility.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification In Infection Prevention And Control (Cic) From The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Infection Prevention And Control, Preferably In A Long-Term Care Or Healthcare Setting.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Infection Prevention And Control Practices, Including Surveillance, Outbreak Management, And Employee Education.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With And Educate Interdisciplinary Teams On Infection Prevention Protocols And Procedures.
