- Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and other designated areas of the facility.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
- Assist with laundry and linen services as needed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and submit supply requests when needed.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure resident needs are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and visitors.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in training and educational programs as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Follow established safety and emergency procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards residents, families, and coworkers.
- Meet cleanliness and sanitation standards set by regulatory agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience In Housekeeping Or Cleaning: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In A Housekeeping Or Cleaning Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Long-Term Care Setting. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of Proper Cleaning Techniques And The Ability To Maintain A High Level Of Cleanliness.
Attention To Detail: Housekeepers At Genesis Healthcare Are Responsible For Maintaining A Clean And Sanitary Environment For Patients And Staff. Therefore, They Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Areas That Need Extra Attention.
Time-Management Skills: The Housekeeper Must Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Manage Their Time Effectively To Ensure All Cleaning Duties Are Completed Within The Allotted Time Frame. This Is Especially Important In A Healthcare Setting Where Cleanliness Is Crucial For The Health And Safety Of Patients.
Physical Stamina: The Job Of A Housekeeper Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Stand, Walk, Bend, And Lift For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
