- Develop and implement an effective training program for nursing staff to ensure they meet and exceed the highest standards of patient care.
- Oversee the training and development of new nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other department heads to identify training needs and create customized training plans for individual staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and performance of nursing staff, providing constructive feedback and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain training materials and resources, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to the healthcare industry.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the training program.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to encourage continuous improvement and growth among nursing staff.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for new and existing nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to nursing staff training and development.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure a smooth transition and integration of newly trained staff into the healthcare facility.
- Act as a mentor and role model for nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, management, and other stakeholders to provide updates on training and any changes in policies or procedures.
- Assist with recruitment and selection of nursing staff, ensuring they possess the necessary qualifications and skills to provide high-quality care.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide recommendations for promotions, salary adjustments, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of training activities and employee progress.
Current And Active Rn License In The State Where The Facility Is Located.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Nursing Management Or Leadership Roles, Preferably In A Long-Term Care Or Skilled Nursing Facility Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Required, Master's Degree In Nursing (Msn) Preferred.
Knowledge And Understanding Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Long-Term Care And Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Develop A Team Of Nursing Staff.
