  1. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high quality care for patients and residents.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
  3. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of nurses and other healthcare providers to uphold the highest standards of patient care.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing staff, providing regular feedback and addressing any areas of improvement.
  5. Collaborate with other department heads and healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients and residents.
  6. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  7. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients and residents.
  8. Represent the nursing department in meetings with management, families, and other stakeholders.
  9. Stay current on industry developments and best practices in nursing and healthcare management.
  10. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes teamwork and communication.
  11. Handle any issues or conflicts that arise within the nursing department in a professional and timely manner.
  12. Continuously assess and improve the nursing department's processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
  13. Collaborate with the HR department to recruit, hire, and train new nursing staff.
  14. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all nursing staff, patients, and residents.
  15. Represent the company and its values in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License: A Director Of Nursing Must Hold A Valid Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Working.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Higher: Most Employers Prefer Candidates With A Bsn Or Higher Degree, As It Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Dedication To The Nursing Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Nursing Experience: A Director Of Nursing Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Nursing Experience, Including Some Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role.

  • Previous Management Or Supervisory Experience: The Don Job Requires Strong Leadership And Management Skills, So Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In A Management Or Supervisory Role.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations: A Director Of Nursing Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Healthcare And Nursing, As They Will Be Responsible For Ensuring Compliance Within Their Facility.
