- Manage the facility's reimbursement process for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
- Utilize clinical expertise and knowledge of regulations to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for reimbursement claims.
- Monitor and analyze reimbursement data and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate with insurance companies and government agencies to resolve reimbursement issues.
- Train and educate staff on reimbursement regulations and processes.
- Stay updated on changes in reimbursement regulations and implement necessary changes in procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all documentation and coding requirements for reimbursement.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to reimbursement.
- Serve as a resource for staff and patients regarding reimbursement questions and concerns.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the reimbursement team.
- Participate in meetings and trainings related to reimbursement and healthcare regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve reimbursement processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards in regards to patient information.
Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Employment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Interdisciplinary Teams And External Stakeholders.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Long-Term Care Or Skilled Nursing Facility.
Knowledge Of Medicare And Medicaid Regulations And Reimbursement Guidelines.
Strong Understanding Of Mds (Minimum Data Set) And Rai (Resident Assessment Instrument).
