- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Assist with transferring and positioning patients to ensure their comfort and prevent skin breakdown.
- Administer medication under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
- Document all patient interactions and activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and educational programs to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to promote their overall well-being.
- Adhere to all regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.

High School Diploma Or Ged: A Cna Must Have A High School Diploma Or Ged As A Minimum Educational Requirement. This Demonstrates Basic Academic Competency And The Ability To Follow Through With Educational Requirements.
Completion Of A Cna Training Program: Most States Require Cnas To Complete A State-Approved Training Program, Which Typically Includes Both Classroom Instruction And Hands-On Clinical Training. A Cna Who Has Successfully Completed A Training Program Is Equipped With The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Provide Quality Care To Patients.
State Certification: After Completing A Training Program, Cnas Must Pass A State Certification Exam To Become Certified. This Exam Ensures That The Cna Has A Thorough Understanding Of The Responsibilities And Skills Necessary For The Job.
Physical Stamina And Strength: Cnas Are Required To Perform Physically Demanding Tasks, Such As Lifting And Moving Patients, Standing For Long Periods Of Time, And Assisting With Daily Activities. It Is Important For A Cna To Have The Physical Stamina And Strength To Perform These Tasks Safely And Effectively.
Empathy And Compassion: Cnas Work Closely With Patients Who May Be Going Through Physical And Emotional Challenges. It Is Important For A Cna To Have A Genuine Sense Of Empathy And Compassion For Their Patients, As They Play A Critical Role In Providing Emotional Support And Comfort.
