  11. Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions.
  12. Proactively identify opportunities to improve data processes and drive continuous improvement.
  13. Adhere to data security and privacy standards to protect sensitive information.
  14. Document data processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert for data engineering within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Data Engineering: A Senior Data Engineer At General Motors Should Have A Strong Background In Data Engineering, With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Designing And Implementing Data Pipelines, Data Warehouses, And Etl Processes.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages And Database Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Advanced Skills In Programming Languages Such As Python, Java, Or Scala, As Well As Experience With Database Technologies Like Sql, Nosql, And Hadoop.

  • Knowledge Of Data Modeling And Data Architecture: Senior Data Engineers Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Modeling Principles And Be Able To Design And Implement Efficient And Scalable Data Architectures.

  • Experience With Big Data And Cloud Technologies: As General Motors Continues To Expand Its Use Of Big Data And Cloud Technologies, Senior Data Engineers Should Have Experience With Tools And Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud, As Well As Knowledge Of Distributed Computing Frameworks Like Spark And Kafka.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: In Addition To Technical Qualifications, A Senior Data Engineer Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. This Includes The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Provide Mentorship To Junior Team Members.
