- Lead and oversee the technical aspects of AI safety engineering for autonomous vehicles, including conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into the design, development, and testing of self-driving vehicles.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and research in AI safety to continuously improve and refine our safety protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and team members to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of autonomous systems to identify potential safety issues and develop solutions.
- Proactively identify and address potential safety risks and concerns during all stages of the development process.
- Communicate and present safety strategies and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, both internally and externally.
- Act as a subject matter expert on AI safety, providing guidance and training to team members and other departments as needed.
Extensive Experience In Artificial Intelligence And Machine Learning: The Principal Ai Safety Engineer Should Have A Strong Background In Ai And Ml Technologies, Including Deep Learning, Computer Vision, And Natural Language Processing. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Latest Developments In The Field And Be Able To Apply Them To Autonomous Vehicles.
Knowledge Of Automotive Safety Standards And Regulations: As The Technical Lead For Ai Safety, The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Safety Standards And Regulations In The Automotive Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Iso 26262, Sotif, And Other Relevant Standards.
Experience In Leading Large-Scale Ai Projects: The Principal Ai Safety Engineer Should Have Experience In Leading And Managing Large-Scale Ai Projects, Preferably In The Automotive Industry. They Should Be Able To Coordinate And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Ensure The Successful Implementation Of Ai Safety Measures In Autonomous Vehicles.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Identify Potential Safety Risks And Develop Effective Solutions.
