
Mechanical Journeyperson (Pipefitter)

- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment, including pipes, valves, pumps, and other components according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Inspect and troubleshoot systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Utilize technical knowledge and skills to complete projects and tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operation and coordination of tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including any necessary documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies to continuously improve processes and systems.
- Train and mentor apprentices and new employees as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Completion Of A Recognized Apprenticeship Program In Pipefitting Or A Related Field.
Valid Journeyman Certification In Pipefitting From A Recognized Trade Authority.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Pipefitter In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Mechanical Systems, Including Piping Layouts, Fittings, And Valves.
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings And Schematics Related To Mechanical Systems.
