Manufacturing Group Leader - Production

- Oversee the production process and ensure that all manufacturing operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise and lead a team of production workers, providing guidance, support and training as needed.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure that our products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Identify and troubleshoot any production issues or delays, taking necessary corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to ensure a seamless production process.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, recognizing and addressing any areas for improvement.
- Continuously review and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that all team members are following safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports, providing regular updates to management on production progress and any issues that arise.
Previous Experience In A Manufacturing Environment: A Manufacturing Group Leader - Production At General Motors Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Manufacturing Setting, Preferably In The Automotive Industry. This Experience Will Provide A Strong Foundation And Understanding Of The Production Processes And Operations At General Motors.
Leadership Skills: As A Group Leader, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Production Workers And Ensuring That They Meet Their Production Goals. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are A Must, Including The Ability To Motivate, Coach, And Develop Team Members.
Technical Knowledge: A Manufacturing Group Leader - Production Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Production Equipment, Processes, And Technologies Used At General Motors. This Includes Knowledge Of Lean Manufacturing Principles, Quality Control Techniques, And Safety Procedures.
Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For A Manufacturing Group Leader - Production At General Motors. This Individual Will Need To Communicate With Team Members, Other Departments, And Upper Management To Ensure That Production Goals Are Met And Any Issues Are Addressed Promptly.
Problem-Solving Ability: In A Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment, Problems And Challenges Are Bound To Arise.
