- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Train and mentor team members to improve their technical skills and overall performance.
- Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and leadership to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth workflow.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, including forecasting and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in maintenance practices to keep the company at the forefront of manufacturing technology.
- Identify and address any performance issues within the team in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance problems.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote team cohesion and overall productivity.
- Represent GM in a professional and positive manner to maintain the company's reputation as a global leader in automotive manufacturing.
Experience In Maintenance: A Manufacturing Group Leader - Maintenance At General Motors Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Maintenance, Preferably In A Manufacturing Setting. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Maintenance Processes And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Troubleshooting And Repairing Equipment.
Leadership Skills: As A Group Leader, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Maintenance Technicians. They Should Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Role And Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Should Also Be Able To Motivate And Inspire Their Team To Achieve Production Goals.
Technical Knowledge: A Manufacturing Group Leader - Maintenance Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Possess Knowledge Of Various Types Of Manufacturing Equipment, Such As Cnc Machines, Robotics, And Conveyor Systems. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Electrical, Hydraulic, And Pneumatic Systems.
Problem-Solving Abilities: In A Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment, Problems Can Arise At Any Time. A Group Leader - Maintenance Should Be Able To Think Quickly On Their Feet And Come Up With Effective Solutions To Keep Production Running Smoothly. They Should Also Have A Strong Attention To Detail And Be Able To Analyze Data To Identify Potential Issues Before They Arise.
Safety Consciousness: Safety Is A Top Priority In Any Manufacturing Facility. A Manufacturing Group Leader - Maintenance Should Be Well-Versed In Safety Protocols And Procedures And Be Able To Enforce Them With Their Team. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Osha Regulations And Be Able To Ensure Compliance Within Their Department.
