Manager Global Technical Accounting

Responsible for the completion of technical accounting analysis and accounting concurrence memos, working closely with the businesses. Monitor and report FASB activities to identify changes in existing guidance that will have an impact on GM’s financial statements. Participate in FASB outreach, industry groups, and Big 4 roundtable activities; facilitate process for correspondence with the FASB through Comment Letter submission. Research, interpret, and document all new accounting standards and how each applies to GM as well as comply with external 10-Q/10-K reporting requirements. Partner with regions in the implementation of new accounting standards. Provide or manage accounting due diligence. Provide or manage transaction technical accounting & application analysis. Manage or assist in operational accounting integration. Function as a valuable communication link for M&A activities.
