As a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analyst at General Motors, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our cutting-edge vehicles.   1. Conduct CFD simulations to analyze and optimize the aerodynamics, thermal management, and overall performance of General Motors' vehicles.
  2. Collaborate with the engineering team to understand design requirements and provide recommendations for improvements based on CFD analysis.
  3. Utilize your expertise in fluid mechanics to troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to vehicle performance and design.
  4. Stay updated on the latest CFD techniques and technologies and suggest their implementation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of simulations.
  5. Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate CFD analysis results to other team members and stakeholders.
  6. Work closely with other analysts and engineers to ensure the accuracy and reliability of CFD simulations.
  7. Participate in design reviews and provide valuable insights and recommendations based on CFD analysis.
  8. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to develop and implement new CFD tools and methods.
  9. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while conducting CFD simulations.
  10. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Or Related Field

  • Strong Working Knowledge Of Numerical Methods And Cfd Software Such As Ansys Fluent Or Star-Ccm+

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Cfd Analysis, Preferably In The Automotive Industry

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Python, Matlab, Or C++

  • Familiarity With Cad Software And Experience In Creating And Manipulating Complex 3D Models For Simulations
