Forklift Operator

General Mills is seeking an experienced and motivated Forklift Operator to join our team and help ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate must have previous experience operating a forklift and must possess a valid forklift certification. The Forklift Operator must also have a working knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and be able to adhere to applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will need to be able to lift heavy loads, remain on their feet for extended periods of time, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: • Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner. • Maintain a valid forklift certification. • Adhere to all applicable laws and safety protocols. • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers. • Receive and inspect incoming shipments. • Keep accurate records of inventory. • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift. • Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or concerns. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. • Other duties as assigned.
