Consultant- Materials Management

We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Consultant to join the Materials Management team at General Mills. As a Consultant, you will work closely with the Materials Management team and other departments to identify and implement cost-efficient solutions that drive business performance. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. In addition, you must possess 5+ years of experience in materials management or logistics, with strong knowledge in inventory and materials management concepts, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Responsibilities:

1. Analyze current materials management systems and processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
2. Develop and implement inventory and materials management plans that meet company objectives.
3. Prepare reports and perform detailed analysis on inventory, purchase orders, shipping and receiving, and other materials management related topics.
4. Monitor and evaluate inventory levels and performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
5. Manage supplier relationships to ensure high quality service and cost-efficient solutions are obtained.
6. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure materials management is integrated into their processes and operations.
7. Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and cost-effective solutions.
8. Research and evaluate new materials management technologies and strategies.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization is leveraging the most efficient and cost-effective processes.
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
