Consultant - Data Protection & Privacy Management

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Consultant - Data Protection & Privacy Management to join the team at General Mills. The ideal candidate will be a respected and trusted leader with an extensive background in data protection and privacy management. You will be in charge of advising and educating stakeholders on data protection and privacy regulations, as well as ensuring that General Mills is compliant with current data protection and privacy laws and regulations.The successful candidate must have a degree in a relevant field (e.g. data protection, privacy management, law, or computer science), and a minimum of five years of experience in data protection and privacy management. You must be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of current data protection and privacy laws and regulations. You must also have the ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities:

1. Advise and educate stakeholders on data protection and privacy regulations
2. Ensure General Mills’ compliance with relevant data protection and privacy laws and regulations
3. Develop and implement data protection and privacy strategies
4. Monitor and audit data protection and privacy standards
5. Manage data protection and privacy related projects
6. Research and analyze data protection and privacy trends and best practices
7. Provide guidance and support to other departments on data protection and privacy related matters
8. Liaise with external stakeholders such as government bodies and regulatory authorities
9. Develop and maintain data protection and privacy policies and procedures
10. Keep up to date with changes in legislation and best practices in the field of data protection and privacy.
