- Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to drive efficiency and reduce waste throughout the site.
- Conduct regular process audits to identify opportunities for process optimization and standardization.
- Train and coach team members on lean principles and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with site leadership to set and achieve lean improvement goals and metrics.
- Lead and facilitate lean workshops and events to drive problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and track progress of lean initiatives, report results to site leadership, and make recommendations for further improvement.
- Foster a mindset of continuous improvement and lean thinking throughout the site, encouraging all team members to participate and contribute to lean projects.
- Identify and implement best practices and lessons learned from other sites and industries to drive further improvement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on lean principles and methodologies, providing guidance and support to teams and individuals throughout the site.
- Collaborate with other Site Lean Leaders within the company to share best practices and drive company-wide lean initiatives.
- Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of lean processes and tools to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Strong Technical Background Is Necessary For A Site Lean Leader, As They Will Need To Understand Complex Manufacturing Processes And Systems.
Lean Six Sigma Certification: General Electric Places A Strong Emphasis On Lean Six Sigma Principles And Methodologies, So A Site Lean Leader Should Be Certified In These Areas To Effectively Implement And Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role: As A Site Lean Leader, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing And Leading A Team Of Associates, So Previous Experience In A Leadership Position Is Crucial.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Site Lean Leader Will Need To Effectively Communicate With All Levels Of The Organization, As Well As External Stakeholders. They Should Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Experience With Change Management: General Electric Is A Constantly Evolving Company, And The Site Lean Leader Will Need To Be Able To Effectively Manage And Lead Change Initiatives. Previous Experience In Change Management Is Therefore Highly Desirable For This Role.
