Job Description

General Electric (GE) is searching for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Professional Services Sourcing Commodity Manager to join our team. The Senior Professional Services Sourcing Commodity Manager will be responsible for leading the development of and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for professional services categories. This position requires a dynamic individual who is capable of working both independently and collaboratively to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a strategic sourcing role, including at least 3 years of experience in the professional services sourcing field. They will also have a strong working knowledge of procurement operations and the ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies. In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong negotiation and analytical skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Senior Professional Services Sourcing Commodity Manager must be able to work with a sense of urgency and possess the ability to work with multiple stakeholder groups to determine requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies. Finally, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.We are looking for a strategic, innovative, and results-oriented individual who is excited to join our team and help drive positive change at GE.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for professional services categories.
  2. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  3. Develop and implement sourcing strategies.
  4. Negotiate and analyze strategic sourcing opportunities.
  5. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Work with a sense of urgency and with multiple stakeholder groups to determine requirements.
  7. Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate opportunities and develop appropriate strategies.
  8. Utilize innovative approaches to drive positive change.
  9. Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  10. Monitor industry trends, research and benchmark to ensure the best value for GE.
