
Research Engineer - Structural Mechanics/Dynamics
General Electric (GE) is seeking an experienced and motivated Research Engineer - Structural Mechanics/Dynamics to join its team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Engineering and Technology department and will be responsible for investigating, modeling, and designing structures and components for GE products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural mechanics and dynamics along with excellent problem solving and communication skills.The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience in structural mechanics and dynamics. A master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred. The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of the principles of finite element analysis, computational mechanics, and structural dynamics, and experience with experimental testing and analysis. The successful candidate must also have experience in using computer-aided design software and be proficient in using Microsoft Office.The Research Engineer - Structural Mechanics/Dynamics will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, think creatively, and be able to effectively communicate technical information.
