
Research Engineer - Power Electronics
We at General Electric are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Research Engineer in Power Electronics to join our team. As a Research Engineer, you will be working within the Engineering Department, developing and testing new technological solutions for our products. Your technical expertise will be integral to the success of the Power Electronics team, as you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions to complex problems.To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in engineering, with particular emphasis on Power Electronics and related fields. An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is essential. You should also have experience in research, development, and testing of Power Electronics components and systems. Expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, and other design and modeling tools is also highly desirable. You should be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. You should also be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently on complex projects. The successful candidate will have a passion for developing revolutionary solutions that will shape the future of Power Electronics.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop innovative solutions for Power Electronics components and systems.
- Design, model, and test Power Electronics components and systems using MATLAB, Simulink, and other design and modeling tools.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and propose improvements to existing Power Electronics systems.
- Collaborate with other members of the Engineering Department to ensure successful implementation of new and existing Power Electronics solutions.
- Create detailed documentation outlining the research and development process.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Power Electronics.
- Present progress reports to the Power Electronics team and other stakeholders as needed.
- Train and mentor other engineers on Power Electronics related topics.
