Job Description

Create and own the test plan. Provide QA estimations whenever needed and lead discussions with project stakeholders. Understand client needs and requirements and translate them into test cases, follow test plan schedule and scope to perform testing and report defects. Identify gaps between project requirements and development specifications. Own and perform testing in each phase of SDLC, focusing on End-to-End testing between systems. Support release management. Ensure exit criteria are met before moving code to different environments. Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues. Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager, product owner and solutions specialist. Provide feedback on process improvement when there’s opportunity and strive to apply testing best practices.

Job Qualifications

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, preferably in utilities industry.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to create comprehensive technical documents.

  • Experience in API test tools like POSTMAN, SOAP UI etc.

  • Experience in scripting and running performance tests using tools like JMeter.

  • Experience in developing API automation suite using REST Assured or similar testing frameworks.
