  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for all preliminary performance engineering activities within the company.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers in the design, development, and implementation of performance testing strategies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance goals and requirements for new products and processes.
  4. Conduct performance analysis and optimization of existing products and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  5. Develop and execute performance test plans and scripts to validate system performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
  6. Utilize industry best practices and tools to continuously improve performance testing methodologies and processes.
  7. Communicate performance testing results and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and project teams.
  8. Identify and troubleshoot performance issues, working closely with development teams to implement solutions.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies related to performance engineering and suggest innovative ideas for improvement.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to performance testing and engineering.
  11. Manage the performance engineering budget and resources effectively to meet project timelines and goals.
  12. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to performance engineering activities.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to implement performance engineering best practices across the organization.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on performance engineering and provide guidance and support to other team members.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous learning.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Performance Engineering: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Performance Engineering, With A Strong Understanding Of Industry Best Practices And Tools.

  • Strong Technical Background: A Lead Preliminary Performance Engineer At General Electric Should Possess A Strong Technical Background In Software Development, With A Solid Understanding Of Programming Languages, Databases, And Web Technologies.

  • Experience With Performance Testing Tools: The Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Performance Testing Tools Such As Loadrunner, Jmeter, Or Gatling, And Should Be Able To Design And Execute Complex Performance Tests.

  • Ability To Identify And Resolve Performance Issues: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Identifying And Resolving Performance Issues In Complex Enterprise Systems, And Should Be Able To Provide Recommendations For Performance Improvement.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Lead Preliminary Performance Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Performance Engineers. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including Communication, Organization, And Problem-Solving Abilities, Are Essential For This Role.
