Job Description

The controls engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Organization will drive innovation in robotics and automation and help design and build the most advanced 3D printing systems in the world. This role will own the design, delivery, integration, and troubleshooting of control systems software, as well as own all electrical systems and modules in the robotic machinery. Design and implement fault detection and mitigation in software. Own all aspects of software development, including design, testing, and integration. Design complex, multi-channel, high-performance, mixed-signal electronic devices as part of a multi-disciplinary team and help ensure their transition into the factory floor. Translate process requirements into robust electromechanical systems.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience

  • Experience in industrial automation protocols. Ethercat, modbus, EtherNet/I

  • Experience in additive printer hardware and software

  • Ability to go from clean sheet concept to detailed design with little oversight
