  1. Manage and oversee the financial aspects of our pension plans, ensuring compliance and accuracy in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  2. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including pension plan administrators, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  3. Conduct regular reviews and analyses of pension plan financial data, identifying any discrepancies or areas of concern and taking appropriate action.
  4. Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and other relevant parties, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR and Legal, to ensure pension plan design and implementation aligns with company goals and objectives.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations related to pension accounting, and proactively make adjustments to processes and procedures as needed.
  7. Train and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  8. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process for pension plans, providing accurate and reliable financial data to inform decision-making.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to pension accounting, seeking opportunities to streamline and optimize operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Lead Accountant For Pension Accounting At Ge Healthcare Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance. A Bachelor's Degree In One Of These Fields Is Typically The Minimum Requirement For This Role.

  • Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Certification: In Addition To A Degree, A Lead Accountant Should Have A Professional Certification Such As A Cpa. This Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In Accounting Principles And Practices.

  • Experience In Pension Accounting: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Pension Accounting, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Large Corporate Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Pension Plan Design, Administration, And Financial Reporting.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: The Lead Accountant For Pension Accounting At Ge Healthcare Should Have Strong Analytical Skills To Effectively Evaluate And Interpret Complex Financial Data Related To Pension Plans. This Includes The Ability To Identify Trends, Variances, And Potential Risks.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Lead Accountant, This Role Will Require Strong Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams. The Ability To Communicate Complex Financial Information Clearly And Concisely Is Essential For Success In This Role.
