A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Computer Engineering Or Computer Science May Also Be Considered.
Proficiency In Electronics Design Software: The Ability To Use Software Such As Altium, Cadence, Or Mentor Graphics Is Crucial For A Design Engineer At General Electric. Knowledge Of Pcb Layout And Schematic Design Is Also Important.
Experience With Firmware Development: General Electric's Design Engineers Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Firmware Development For Microcontrollers And Other Embedded Systems. Experience With Programming Languages Such As C, C++, And Assembly Is Highly Desirable.
Familiarity With Industry Standards And Regulations: Design Engineers At General Electric Must Be Knowledgeable About Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Electronics And Firmware Design.
