- Develop and implement strategic communication plans for Genentech's innovative products.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including media, patients, healthcare professionals, and advocacy groups.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals.
- Proactively identify and address potential communication challenges or issues related to Genentech's products.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to inform communication strategies.
- Serve as a spokesperson for Genentech and effectively communicate the company's key messages to external audiences.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials to effectively communicate product updates and milestones.
- Plan and execute media events, such as press conferences and product launches, to generate positive coverage and increase awareness.
- Train and support team members and company executives to effectively communicate product information and company messaging.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance in all communications.
- Manage budgets and resources for product public relations initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust communication strategies to effectively reach target audiences and meet company objectives.
- Represent Genentech at industry events and conferences, fostering relationships and promoting the company's products and mission.
- Act as a brand ambassador, upholding Genentech's values and reputation in all communications.
- Contribute to the overall success of the company by actively participating in company initiatives and promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.
Extensive Experience In Product Public Relations: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience Working In A Product Public Relations Role, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Industry, Its Regulations And The Competitive Landscape.
Strong Media Relations Skills: The Senior Manager, Product Public Relations Will Be Responsible For Managing Relationships With Key Media Outlets And Journalists. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Securing High-Profile Media Coverage For Products And Managing Crisis Communication Effectively.
Excellent Communication Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Executing Strategic Communication Plans, Drafting Press Releases, Media Pitches, And Other Materials. They Should Also Be Comfortable Presenting To Senior Leadership And Key Stakeholders.
Team Leadership And Management Experience: As A Senior Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Product Public Relations Professionals. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Leading And Developing A Team, Providing Them With Guidance, Feedback, And Support To Ensure They Meet Their Goals.
