  1. Develop and implement a strategic workplace plan that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including researchers, scientists, and leadership, to understand their needs and incorporate them into the workplace design.
  3. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in scientific workplace design.
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Human Resources and Facilities, to ensure that the workplace strategy is integrated into all aspects of the company.
  5. Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for changes to the workplace strategy.
  6. Lead and manage workplace design projects, including space planning, furniture selection, and technology integration.
  7. Monitor and analyze workplace data, such as employee satisfaction and productivity, to assess the effectiveness of the workplace strategy and make adjustments as needed.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to support the execution of the workplace strategy.
  9. Stay within budget and timeline constraints while delivering high-quality, innovative workplace solutions.
  10. Communicate the workplace strategy and its impact to all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  11. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other teams and departments on workplace design and strategy.
  12. Contribute to the company's culture of innovation and collaboration by creating a dynamic and engaging workplace environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field: A Scientific Workplace Strategy Partner At Genentech Should Possess An Advanced Degree (Master's Or Phd) In A Scientific Field Such As Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Or Molecular Biology. This Educational Background Will Provide The Necessary Foundation To Understand The Company's Scientific Research And Development Goals.

  • Experience In Workplace Strategy And Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing Workplace Strategies And Designing Scientific Workspaces. This Includes Knowledge Of Laboratory Design, Equipment Placement, And Workflow Optimization To Create An Efficient And Productive Work Environment.

  • Strong Project Management Skills: As A Scientific Workplace Strategy Partner, One Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Multiple Projects Related To Workplace Strategies And Design. Therefore, Strong Project Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. This Includes The Ability To Manage Timelines, Budgets, And Resources Effectively.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance: Working In A Scientific Workplace Requires Adherence To Strict Regulations And Compliance Standards. A Qualified Candidate For This Role Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Regulations, Including Those Set By The Fda And Other Governing Bodies.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: A Scientific Workplace Strategy Partner Will Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Scientists, Facilities Managers, And Executives.
