- Lead and drive scientific excellence within the Development Science team at Genentech.
- Continuously review and assess the current drug development processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement scientific strategies for drug development.
- Stay updated on the latest scientific advancements and technologies relevant to our drug development efforts.
- Foster a culture of scientific excellence by providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external scientific experts and collaborators.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards in all scientific activities.
- Contribute to the development and execution of research and development plans.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of potential new drug candidates.
- Communicate scientific progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure timely and successful completion of drug development milestones.
- Continuously monitor and analyze data to identify potential risks and propose mitigating strategies.
- Represent Genentech at scientific conferences, meetings, and other events.
- Act as a key contributor in shaping the scientific direction and vision of the company.
- Mentor and develop junior team members to build a strong scientific talent pipeline for the organization.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure alignment and integration of scientific excellence initiatives.
Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field, Such As Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Or Pharmacology.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In The Biotechnology Or Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Focus On Drug Development.
Proven Track Record Of Leading And Managing A Team Of Scientists, Including Setting Goals, Providing Guidance, And Evaluating Performance.
Extensive Knowledge Of Drug Discovery And Development Processes, Including Pre-Clinical Studies, Regulatory Requirements, And Clinical Trials.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Scientific Data To Diverse Audiences.
