  1. Conduct research and analysis to support the Modeling and Simulation team in drug development projects.
  2. Utilize cutting-edge technology and software to create models and simulations for drug development.
  3. Collaborate with team members and other departments to gather data and information for simulations.
  4. Learn and apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to optimize drug development processes.
  5. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in the field of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
  6. Present findings and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.
  7. Participate in team meetings and discussions to contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the team.
  8. Adhere to company policies and regulations, including maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  9. Proactively identify and solve problems that arise during the internship.
  10. Take initiative to learn and ask questions to expand knowledge and understanding of the drug development process.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Academic Background: A Successful Candidate For This Internship Should Have Completed At Least Three Years Of Undergraduate Studies In A Relevant Field Such As Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, Or Computational Biology. A High Gpa And Relevant Coursework In Modeling And Simulation, Pharmacokinetics, And Pharmacodynamics Will Be Highly Valued.

  • Proficiency In Modeling And Simulation Software: The Intern Should Have Experience With Modeling And Simulation Software Such As Nonmem, Phoenix Winnonlin, Or Simcyp. Familiarity With Other Relevant Tools Such As Matlab, R, Or Python Will Also Be Beneficial.

  • Understanding Of Pharmacokinetic And Pharmacodynamic Principles: The Intern Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Basic Principles Of Pharmacokinetics And Pharmacodynamics, Including Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, And Excretion Of Drugs, As Well As Their Effects On The Body.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: This Internship Will Involve Working On Complex Data Sets And Using Modeling And Simulation Techniques To Analyze And Interpret Them. The Candidate Should Have Strong Analytical Skills And The Ability To Think Critically And Creatively To Solve Problems.

  • Effective Communication And Teamwork: As An Intern At Genentech, The Candidate Will Be Working With A Team Of Scientists And Researchers. The Ability To Communicate Effectively, Collaborate With Others, And Work In A Team Environment Will Be Essential For Success In This Role.
