As a 2025 Summer Intern for our Global Supply Chain & Quality Assurance (GSFQA) department, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our cutting-edge Computational Catalyst team.   1. Collaborate with the Computational Catalyst team to analyze and improve supply chain and quality assurance processes using data and technology.
  2. Participate in project planning, execution, and evaluation to drive efficiency and innovation within the department.
  3. Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions.
  4. Conduct research and gather data to support decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates, share insights, and gather feedback.
  6. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulations.
  7. Actively seek out learning opportunities and apply new knowledge and skills to projects and tasks.
  8. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Genentech's mission, values, and commitment to patient care.
  9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency In Computational Biology And Bioinformatics: A Strong Background In Computational Biology And Bioinformatics Is Essential For This Role. The Intern Should Be Comfortable Working With Various Software Tools And Analyzing Large Datasets.

  • Knowledge Of Molecular Biology And Genetics: The Intern Should Have A Good Understanding Of Molecular Biology And Genetics, As This Will Be The Basis For Their Work In Computational Biology. Knowledge Of Techniques Such As Pcr, Cloning, And Sequencing Would Be Beneficial.

  • Familiarity With Statistical Analysis And Programming Languages: The Intern Should Have A Working Knowledge Of Statistical Analysis And Programming Languages Such As R, Python, And Perl. This Will Allow Them To Effectively Analyze And Interpret Data.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Intern Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Their Findings And Work Collaboratively With Team Members. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Crucial For This Role.
