Job Description

We at Frost Bank are looking for an experienced Credit Risk Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risks associated with Frost Bank’s loan portfolio and other credit activities.To be successful, you should have an intimate understanding of banking operations and regulations, along with extensive experience in the banking industry. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. An in-depth knowledge of lending and credit risk management is essential. Additionally, you should have the drive and enthusiasm to take on responsibilities as they arise and the creativity to come up with innovative solutions.If you have the necessary qualifications and the passion to join our team, we look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze loan portfolios and other credit activities to identify and assess risks.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to minimize the credit risks associated with loans and other credit activities.
  3. Monitor the effectiveness of credit risk management strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  4. Keep up to date with banking regulations, industry trends, and best practices related to credit risk management.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of credit risk management activities.
  6. Foster strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders, such as customers, lenders, and auditors.
  7. Communicate regularly with stakeholders about credit risk management and provide feedback as needed.
  8. Research and recommend new credit products and services.
  9. Provide guidance and training to other staff members on credit risk management practices.
  10. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure all credit activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
