- Provide expert legal advice and support on all trust and estate matters to the organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, on complex legal issues related to trusts and estates.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and inform decision-making.
- Draft and review legal documents, including trust agreements, wills, and other estate planning documents.
- Advise on the creation, administration, and termination of trusts and other estate planning vehicles.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team to identify and mitigate potential legal risks related to trusts and estates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and other industry professionals to stay current on best practices and industry developments.
- Participate in trust and estate-related negotiations and provide guidance on legal implications.
- Educate internal stakeholders on trust and estate laws and regulations to promote compliance and risk management.
- Stay informed on changes in trust and estate laws and regulations and proactively recommend updates to organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to junior legal team members on trust and estate matters.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings related to trusts and estates, if necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and tax departments, to ensure alignment and consistency in legal advice.
- Uphold the organization's values and standards of ethics and integrity in all interactions and work.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures related to trust and estate matters.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Trust And Estate Planning
Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Tax Laws
