Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and talented Financial Reporting Specialist (Fund Accounting) to join the team at Franklin Templeton Investments. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial and regulatory reports and providing support to the fund accounting department. To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of financial regulations and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.We are looking for a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for accounting, finance, and investments, and are looking for an opportunity to make an impact, then this is the role for you!The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• At least 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Working knowledge of investment or fund accounting• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare accurate financial and regulatory reports in accordance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  2. Provide support to the fund accounting department, including identifying and resolving any issues.
  3. Analyze financial data for accuracy and completeness, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Create and maintain financial models to support decision-making.
  6. Monitor and review transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Research and resolve discrepancies or questions from internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Develop and document processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
